Delete your Cope Compass account

Your data is yours. You can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it from inside the app, or by emailing us. Either way takes effect within 30 days.

Option 1: Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Cope Compass and sign in.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Tap Delete account at the bottom of the page.
  4. Confirm. Your account is removed immediately.

Option 2: Email us

If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject line Delete my account.

We'll confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (name, email, handle)
  • Every urge, save moment, daily reflection, and voice journal entry you've logged
  • Your My Plan (boundaries, balance, pursuits)
  • Community posts and replies you've made
  • Sponsor links, circle memberships, and direct messages
  • Progress score history and money-kept totals
  • Push notification tokens and any associated device IDs

What we retain (and why)

A small set of records is retained for legal and operational reasons only. We never re-link these to your identity once your account is deleted.

  • Anonymized aggregate metrics (e.g. total urges logged across all users on a given day)
  • Financial transaction records, retained for the period required by US tax law (typically 7 years), if you ever made a purchase
  • Server logs that may contain your IP address, retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then automatically purged

If you need a copy first

You can request an export of your data before deletion. Email [email protected] with the subject Data export requestand we'll send a machine-readable copy within 30 days.
