For intake specialists & peer support
Search and refer without an account.
You take the call. They need gambling-treatment options in their state, on their insurance, today. Cope Compass is a free, public directory built so you can search, filter, and share a curated short-list — without making the caller create an account, without making you create one either.
The workflow
- Filter by state, insurance, provider type, or the new Free state-funded care filter.
- Review each provider’s credentials, insurance accepted, services offered, and verified-by date.
- Share the filtered URL with your caller via text, email, or your CRM. The URL preserves all your filters.
Sample queries
Each link opens the public directory pre-filtered. Bookmark or copy the URL after adjusting the filters to fit your caller.
- Colorado · free state-funded care →
Surfaces only providers participating in Colorado's state-funded gambling-treatment network.
- New Jersey · accepts Medicaid →
OR-matches the named insurance — listed providers explicitly accept it.
- Texas · therapists only →
Filters by service type. Useful when the caller knows what level of care they need.
- Pennsylvania · co-occurring care →
Surfaces dual-diagnosis providers — gambling + substance use, or gambling + mental health.
Why state-funded care matters
42 states fund problem-gambling treatment services through their councils and health departments. When a caller’s insurance won’t cover treatment, the state-funded network often will. Cope Compass surfaces these programs as a first-class filter so you can find them in one click. Each row shows the program name, the council that lists it, and a direct link to the eligibility page so your caller verifies they qualify with the program directly.
No account required
The directory is fully public. Your caller doesn’t need to sign up to view providers, and you don’t need to sign up to use the search. The URL is shareable as-is. If your organization wants accounts for additional features (saved searches, branded share-emails, internal analytics), reach out to [email protected]— we’re piloting an intake-specialist mode with our partner orgs.
What you can trust
- Provider listings are sourced from SAMHSA’s federal treatment locator and verified state-council directories.
- Gambling-treatment specialty is flagged with provenance — every Treats gambling badge cites its source.
- State-funded program rows cite the listing council ("Listed by [Council Name]") and link to the official eligibility page.
- Stale data is dated. Each row carries a "Last verified" timestamp.
- We don’t collect caller data through this surface. Searching is anonymous.
