The 167-hour problem
Your client sees you for 1 hour a week.
The other 167, they are on their own.
Gambling platforms use behavioral psychology to keep users engaged around the clock. Bonus resets, reload promotions, and near-miss notifications are engineered to activate reward pathways. Your clients are not weak, they are outgunned. Cope Compass is the tool that fights back in real time, so when they walk into your office, they have data and victories to discuss, not just damage to assess.
15 min
Average gambling urge duration. Your client needs support now, not next Thursday.
39%
Treatment dropout rate for gambling disorder. Between-session disengagement is the leading cause.
167 hrs
Hours between sessions each week where your client is on their own, and gambling platforms fill the gap.

What your clients get
Real-time intervention
When your client has an urge at 2am, the orb guides them through clinically-informed breathing and grounding sequences. You see the data in your next session.
Proactive support
Recovery support delivered at the moments that matter most, informed by behavioral research. Urge triggers, morning plans, evening reflection.
Morning and evening rituals
Personalized daily check-ins that adapt to how your client is feeling. Builds the routine that gambling apps are designed to replace.
GA meeting directory, live
Every Gamblers Anonymous meeting we can verify, with real-time status (in session, upcoming, link ready). Your client opens the app at 11pm and finds a meeting starting in 8 minutes. Cope Compass-hosted meetings appear in the same map.
Therapist Sessions
Host private between-session check-ins with patients you have linked. Mirrors the sponsor invite pattern; runs on the same hosted-meeting infrastructure you would use for Zoom. Each session auto-logs to your time-log view. Not clinical telehealth — between-session continuity.
Sponsor matching
Scored sponsor applications with admin review. Your clients get vetted peer support, not random strangers. You stay informed through the escalation system.
Walk With Me attendance
Cryptographically-signed attendance credentials your client can share with court, probation, or family. Verifiable at copecompass.com/attendance/verify. Eliminates the "did you actually go?" conversation.
Progress tracking
Between-session engagement trends at a glance. Walk into your session knowing what happened since the last one.
RTM-ready documentation
Between-session engagement data structured for treatment planning and clinical documentation. May support Remote Therapeutic Monitoring claims where your payer allows it.

Common questions
Is this HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Cope Compass is fully HIPAA compliant. Every provider signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before accessing patient data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, every access is audit-logged, and we follow NIST security standards. View our full compliance documentation at copecompass.com/trust.
Is this a replacement for therapy?
No. Cope Compass is a between-session support tool. It extends your clinical work into the moments you cannot be there. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or provide clinical advice.
How is this different from Psychology Today or other directories?
Different shape, different purpose. Generalist directories list providers; we do that too, free, and we are gambling-specialty by default. The piece other directories do not have is the patient-facing intervention layer: real-time urge tools, daily rituals, the GA meeting map, sponsor matching, court-acceptable attendance verification, and a clinician dashboard that shows you what happened between sessions. A gambling-specialty clinician will usually keep their general directory listing and add Cope Compass for specialty visibility plus the between-session tools.
What training is required?
None. Your clients download the app and use it independently. You receive progress data and escalation alerts. No additional software to learn.
Can I use this data for documentation?
Yes. The provider dashboard captures between-session engagement data that you can use for treatment planning and clinical documentation. All data is exportable. If your payer supports Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM), this data may support those claims, but verify billing eligibility with your payer directly.
Do I have to pay to list my practice?
No. Basic directory listing is always free for every provider, forever. If we ever ship paid premium tools (like RTM reporting or clinical analytics dashboards), those will be a separate tier. Basic listing stays free regardless.
What is Founder status?
The first 50 providers to join get permanent Founder status. That includes a Founding Provider badge on your profile, priority placement in the directory, a custom cosmic hero banner we hand-craft for you, early access to new features, direct input on product direction, a feature spot on our "Meet the Founders" page, and lifetime comp on any paid premium tier we ship later. Earned by being early, not purchased.
Can I see what my clients see?
Yes. The provider dashboard shows between-session engagement and progress trends without exposing private reflection content.
Free listing
No cost to list. Ever.
Basic listing is permanently free. We reach out to a small group of founding providers by invite for early-access perks and product input — if that’s something you’d want, mention it in your application.
