Abbott House

Abbott House Youth Services is a residential treatment organization that has served children and families since opening in Mitchell, South Dakota in 1939. With over 80 years of experience, they now operate locations in Mitchell, Sioux Falls, and Rapid City. The organization provides residential treatment for young women ages 7-17 experiencing trauma and abuse, intensive foster care placement, independent living services for young adults, crisis care services for middle and high school students, and inpatient and outpatient addiction recovery care for youth ages 7-17. Their approach emphasizes trauma-informed care, healing, and therapeutic support. Abbott House is structured as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
