Family Enrichment Services (FES) was founded in 2006 as Adoption Related Services of Pinellas to address gaps in services for children adopted from foster care. Located in the Suncoast Region of Florida, FES now serves many types of families through counseling, psychiatric services, parenting classes, and in-home services. The organization supports biological families, foster families, and adoptive families across Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Hernando, and Polk Counties. All counselors working with adoptive families complete comprehensive Adoption Competency training. FES describes its approach as trauma-informed and family-focused. Most services are funded by Medicaid with contracts covering most available Medicaid plans in the region, resulting in no out-of-pocket expenses for families served.
