Alabama Council on Problem Gambling and Gaming

The Alabama Council on Problem Gambling & Gaming is a non-profit, non-discriminatory organization located in Montgomery, Alabama, dedicated to providing assistance to individuals affected by gambling or gaming problems. The organization serves the entire state of Alabama and provides a 24-hour national hotline to direct individuals with gambling problems to counselors, therapists, and support groups throughout the state. They connect individuals with gambling problems to counselors or therapists regardless of ability to pay. The organization provides education programs and professional resources for behavioral health practitioners, offers workshops and information about gambling disorder to counselors and others in behavioral health fields, educates the public about responsible gambling, and provides educational materials about problem gambling. They are an official state affiliate of the National Council on Problem Gambling and train licensed counselors to become Alabama Certified Gambling Counselors.
