Great to meet you

TLC Recovery (TLCR) is a peer-led recovery center founded by individuals in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions along with mental illness. The organization provides support for the challenging transition from treatment to rewarding life, addressing the gap many experience after leaving treatment centers, institutions, or jail. TLCR offers recovery, treatment, support, navigation, jobs, housing, recreation, and peer support services. The center operates without appointment requirement and is accessible 7 days a week from 8am to 7:30pm at two locations: Yuma (1340 S. 4th Avenue) and Casa Grande (117 E. 2nd Street), Arizona. The center provides support for both men and women and explicitly mentions Substance Abuse Block Grant funding options for those without health insurance.

Evidence-based approaches

Cognitive behavioral therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Spots the thought-feeling-action loops that fuel urges, then rewires them with practical skills you take into the moment.

Couples/family therapy

Family Therapy. Brings the people closest to the recovery into the room. Less about blame, more about updating the patterns that fed the cycle so the home becomes part of the recovery.

Individual psychotherapy

Individual Psychotherapy. One-to-one sessions with a licensed clinician. The standard-bearer of mental-health care; most evidence-based plans build around it.

Telemedicine/telehealth therapy

Telehealth Therapy. Real clinical sessions delivered over video. Same evidence base as in-person care for most conditions; meets you where you actually are instead of where the office is.
